Your votes are in, Milwaukee, and you have selected the winners of OnMilwaukee's Best Dining 2012. We're announcing the results of this readers' poll, including our editors' pick, in a series of articles that run all October long during Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com.

For six years and counting Maharaja is the voters' choice for Milwaukee's best Indian cuisine. The East Side restaurant nabbed more than 40 percent of the vote and ran away with the category.

Maharaja is welcoming, consistent and offers a wide array of specialties from the Subcontinent. It's daily buffet continues to offer an incredible variety of both vegetarian and meaty Indian dishes. And it all washes down deliciously with a King Fisher beer.

There's a steady flow of diners during lunch and it's frequently crowded in the evening for dining off the menu. Maharaja is also a popular destination for those in search of a non-traditional Thanksgiving or Christmas celebration.
