Your votes are in, Milwaukee, and you have selected the winners of OnMilwaukee's Best Dining 2011. We're announcing the results of this readers' poll, including our editors' pick, in a series of articles that run all October long during Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com.
For the fifth straight year, October is Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com, presented by Concordia University. All month, we're stuffed with restaurant reviews, delectable features, chef profiles and unique articles on everything food, as well as the winners of our "Best of Dining 2011."
For the second year in a row, Tulip, 364 E. Erie St., ran away with the title, taking nearly 40 percent of the votes.
The 4-year-old restaurant offers a wide variety of lamb, chicken and beef entrees as well as seafood and pasta dishes. Appetizers include favorites such as grape leaves, hummus, feta cheese rolls and eggplant puree.
With live music Wednesday, Friday and Saturday plus an American inspired Sunday brunch, Tulip successfully brings Mediterranean flavors to the Third Ward.
Here at OnMilwaukee.com, we're pretty big Tulip fans, too, but this year the editors' props go to Casablanca.
