The votes are in and the winners have been selected for OnMilwaukee's Best: Bars & Clubs, 2012. Find readers' results in 50 categories, including an editors' pick, in this series of articles that run daily in the Bars and Clubs section of OnMilwaukee.com.

The Hotel Foster ran away with the title of best new bar in Milwaukee, as selected by you, the readers of OnMilwaukee.com. Bartolotta's Rumpus Room got roughly half as many votes, to finish a distant second. Three Lions, which got slightly more than half as many votes as Rumpus, rounds out the top three.

The Hotel Foster, 2028 E. North Ave., opened in April in the space that formerly housed Live on North, The Globe and The Boardwalk.

In addition to serving wine, beer and cocktails, The Hotel Foster – which does NOT rent rooms, folks – does dish up live music, including an overflow gig by Jaill and a recent label showcase by Trapper Schoepp and The Shades.
