If there's a bar in Milwaukee that lives up to its name it's the Nomad World Pub, a cozy local spot with an international feel. It's beer list may not be the city's longest, but it's diverse and sufficient for an afternoon or evening of hop-inspired conversation.

OnMilwaukee.com readers clearly agree with that assessment, picking the Nomad, 1401 E Brady St., as the best pub (non-Irish) in the area. The category drew an eclectic response, from places with a definite ethnic identity, like transplanted bits of old England, to Milwaukee institutions like Hooligan's.

Nomad fits the eclectic category well, appealing to soccer fans (or do you say football?), trivia experts and people just in the mood for a comfortable spot to have a drink (we're all counting the days until it's warm enough to sit outside and watch the Brady Street parade pass us by).
