The votes are in and the winners have been selected for OnMilwaukee's Best: Eat & Drink, 2007. The results of this readers' poll, including an editors' pick, are available in this series of articles that run all October long during Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com.

Perhaps it's their homemade bread that's usually still warm when you get it, but according to OnMilwaukee.com readers, The Chocolate Factory is the best place to grab a sub or sandwich.

This year, The Chocolate Factory celebrates 25 years of business. It began as an ice-cream parlor in Cedarburg, and the original concept was conceived on the back of a napkin. Today, The Chocolate Factory has seven locations.

Chocolate Factory subs range from a meatball and provolone cheese to vegetarian to a Southwestern B.L.T. All subs come with special mayonnaise, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions and oregano. The white Italian sub rolls are always served warm, and other types of sub rolls are available, but usually are pre-baked.
