For the sixth straight year, October is Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com, presented by Concordia University. All month, we're stuffed with restaurant reviews, delectable features, chef profiles and unique articles on everything food, as well as the winners of our "Best of Dining 2012."

Your votes are in, Milwaukee, and you have selected the winners of OnMilwaukee's Best Dining 2012. We're announcing the results of this readers' poll, including our editors' pick, in a series of articles that run all October long during Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com.

The King & I has been a staple on Milwaukee's dining scene for more than 20 years and once again, OnMilwaukee.com readers picked the Downtown establishment as their favorite Thai spot in town.

What makes it so special? Start with the owners, Bob and Marie Phoungphol, immigrated to the United States from Thailand in the '70s, and worked their way around several restaurants before starting out on their own.

Many of the items on the menu are recipes handed down from the owner's mothers, adding a special, personal touch to the dining experience.

This year, however, a couple competitors have crept up. Thai-Namite, which the OnMilwaukee.com editorial team picked as its favorite, finished a mere two percentage points behind the winner and EE-Sane was just two-tenths of a point back for third.
