For the seventh straight year, October is Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com, presented by the restaurants of Potawatomi. All month, we're stuffed with restaurant reviews, delectable features, chef profiles and unique articles on everything food, as well as the winners of our "Best of Dining 2013."
OnMilwaukee.com readers picked the view from Harbor House as the city's best once again this year, giving the restaurant the title for the fourth straight time.
It’s hard to argue, too, with its close-up views of Lake Michigan, the U.S. Bank Building, Discovery World and the Milwaukee Art Museum. Its patio is great, too.
Harbor House has a raw bar featuring oysters' clams, shrimp and more. Appetizers from the sea include fried clams, salmon rillettes, steamed mussels, crab cakes, fried popcorn shrimp, scallops, calamari and fried oysters. Seafood soups like New England clam chowder and crustacean bisque along with multiple seafood salads are also on the menu.
Harbor House's seafood dinner choices are plentiful, with highpoint such as grilled Atlantic swordfish, Idaho trout almondine, Madagascar prawns, linguini and clams and a variety of combo plates featuring filet mignon and a seafood item.
