Hey, their words, not mine.
NBC's weight-loss reality competition show, "Biggest Loser," is scouring the country looking for its next set of losers and has decided that Milwaukee just might have some worthy contestants for season five.
Should we be offended?
Regardless, if you're ready to ditch the extra padding, show up at the Rock Bottom Brewery on Saturday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. for auditions. The show is looking for both individuals and teams of two who are over 18 and ready to transform their lives.
Here are the stipulations:
- If auditioning with a partner, please come together if possible.
- Please bring a non-returnable photo of yourself.
- Open call lines will start forming three hours before the start time. Please do not line up before.
If you can't make the Saturday auditions, you can download the application here and send in a tape of yourself.
OnMilwaukee.com staff writer Julie Lawrence grew up in Wauwatosa and has lived her whole life in the Milwaukee area.
As any “word nerd” can attest, you never know when inspiration will strike, so from a very early age Julie has rarely been seen sans pen and little notebook. At the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee it seemed only natural that she major in journalism. When OnMilwaukee.com offered her an avenue to combine her writing and the city she knows and loves in late 2004, she knew it was meant to be. Around the office, she answers to a plethora of nicknames, including “Lar,” (short for “Larry,” which is short for “Lawrence”) as well as the mysteriously-sourced “Bill Murray.”
