This is a friendly OnMilwaukee PSA for those of you interested in starting your week on a high note.
Monday, Feb. 22 just happens to be National Margarita Day, so it only makes sense you'd celebrate the occasion with an agave-based beverage.
Blue Bat Kitchen & Tequilaria, 249 N. Water St., is making the process all-too-easy with a day-long celebration.
From 11 a.m. to close, they'll be rolling out the tequila barrels with a variety of specials including $4 House 'Ritas, top shelf El Tesoro Blue Bat ‘Ritas, tequila-infused salsas and a variety of specialty cocktails which will be available for one day only.
If you get there early, you might even get a free mini 'rita. They're giving them away to the first 100 guests to step over the tequilaria's threshhold for dine-in service.
Of course, you can also get your fix by carry-out. Blue Bat also offers takeout margarita packages along with their menu of globally-inspired dishes. The Margarita Pack includes their housemade mix, a bottle of reposado tequila, and limes (everything you need for 16 margaritas). Orders (and pre-orders) can be placed online.
So have fun. Celebrate. And be safe everyone.
