The Milwaukee Common Council doesn't give out keys to the city, but the BoDeans received the equivalent on Tuesday morning.

In anticipation of the band's homecoming / CD release concert Friday night at The Marcus Center for the Performing Arts -- and a city employee furlough day on Friday -- aldermen honored the BoDeans on Tuesday.

Founding member Kurt Neumann attended the ceremony and accepted plaques for himself and co-founder Sam Llanas.
