Spring is coming – or at least that's what you'll be telling yourself as you turn into a popsicle partying in the parking lot of Miller Park in the middle of one of the coldest winters in recent memory. (Though it has to be at least a little warmer in a few weeks, right? RIGHT!?)
Battling the Wisconsin winter will have been completely worth it, however, at the Brewers Arctic Tailgate, officially announced for the weekend of Saturday, Feb. 16.
The event not only serves as a pregame before the first chance for fans to buy single-game tickets for the much anticipated 2019 season – with the box office opening at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16 – but also as a fun Brew Crew gathering, a reason to celebrate before the season.
Starting at noon on Friday, Feb. 15, the Brewers will open the Miller Park parking lots. Then, beginning as early as 3 p.m., the official Arctic Tailgate party will commence, featuring appearances from Brew Crew alumni, the racing sausages and Bernie Brewer, along with live music performances by the Rhythm Kings, a cornhole tournament, Brewers trivia – with autographed Brew Crew merch up for grabs – free brats, free beverages and free doughnuts the next morning.
Plus, the first 250 who stay overnight will receive special commemorative "I survived the Arctic Tailgate" T-shirts. So yeah, there'll be no shortage of ways to stay warm. (Though the Brewers will not let fans stay overnight if the weather is expected to drop below 10 degrees. There is indeed a limit to their madness.)
Cowards Brewers fans who don't want to fight the cold can also buy single-game tickets starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16, either online or over the phone at (414) 902-4000. But where's the fun in that?

And only 11 days until pitchers and catchers report to Spring Training!
As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.
When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
