Brian Anderson will be introduced as the Brewers TV play by play announcer next week. The hiring was first reported on the Sportscasters Talent Agency of America Web site, was confirmed by a team source Friday.

Anderson, who has worked as a tournament host for The Golf Channel since 2003, will replace Daron Sutton, who left to take a similar position with the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Anderson was chosen over Denver sports talke host Tim Neverett. NBC announcer Ted Robinson also was considered for the post, which drew hundreds of applicants.

Anderson previously worked for Fox Sports and Fox Sports Net on Rangers broadcast and has experience broadcasting minor-league games with the San Antonio Missions.

A Brewers source said Anderson will be formally introduced next week and will appear at the team's "Winter Warmup" on Thursday at Miller Park.
