Brewers fans faced an interesting dilemma tonight.

On one hand, you like to watch FSN Wisconsin's presentation of the game because you appreciate the stylings of Brian Anderson and Bill Schroeder. After 152 games, there is a comfort factor in the announcers and game presentation.

On the other hand...

The game was also broadcast on ESPN. Even in standard definition, the difference in picture quality was so much better on "The Worldwide Leader in Sports," that it bordered on ridiculous.

This isn't a slam on the folks at FSN. They work hard and do a tremendous job with the resources allotted.

Therein lies the problem...

FSN Wisconsin is based out of Minnesota. The Brewers play second fiddle to the Twins, Vikings, Timberwolves, Gophers and even Minnesota prep hockey. They don't get a lot of resources. For most games, the picture for Brewers games looks darker and more compressed than it should.

If you are a Brewers fan and want to see games in HD, well, you may get a few. But, not as many as the Twins. That pre- and post-game show, "Brewers Live?" It's presented from a studio in Minnesota. The host, Jeff Grayson, is a Milwaukee native, a college colleague and a terrific guy, but he's not in the state.

It's a crummy setup. It's unfair to the fans of Wisconsin, but the Brewers were desperate for cash a few years ago and signed a long-term deal with FSN. They're stuck. It isn't going to get better soon.
