Soon to come to Old World 3rd Street, Brick 3 Pizza, located at 1107 N. 3rd St., intends to serve you pizza and lots of it.

Using two massive pizza ovens, Brick 3 will have the capacity to cook 32 New York style pizzas in just five to seven minutes. Keeping it simple with counter style service, Milwaukee developers Rick Barrett and Tan Lo look to provide pizzas in volume, either by the slice or whole pizza, at reasonable prices.

"I'm of the old school thought that if you're going to do something, do it right," Barrett explains.

Renovating the space formerly occupied by African Hut restaurant, Barrett and Lo are renovating the entire two-story cream city brick building.

"It's an incredible building that we're restoring," Barrett explains. "It's going to look significantly different."

Brick 3 Pizza will stay open until 3 a.m. to serve the late-night bar crowd.

"If things go well, we'd really like to expand out the back of the building and add an outdoor patio with seating," Barrett says.

The space is currently under construction but Barrett, who is also developing the neighboring Moderne Condominiums on Old World 3rd Street and Juneau Avenue, plans to open late November.
