Famous Wisconsin exports: beer, cheese and, now, really good professional basketball teams. 

Today the NBA announced that the Milwaukee Bucks will participate in the first-ever regular season game in Paris, hitting the court at AccorHotels Arena against the Charlotte Hornets on Friday, Jan. 24 next year. 

"We are honored to be selected to play in the NBA’s first-ever regular season game in Paris," said Bucks co-owner Wes Edens, in a release. "Playing in one of the great cities in Europe continues our goal to extend the global brand of the Bucks. We will be proud to represent Milwaukee and Wisconsin in Paris, and we thank the NBA for this exciting opportunity."

"On behalf of my teammates, we’re very excited for the chance to represent Milwaukee and the Bucks on the world stage," said Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, in the release. "The opportunity to play in the first-ever regular season game in Paris is truly an honor, and as an international player, I’m grateful to the NBA for continuing to grow the game of basketball across the globe."

This won't mark the Bucks' first international trip. During the 2014-15 season, the Bucks played a regular season game in London against the New York Knicks. And for those concerned the Bucks are losing a home game at Fiserv Forum thanks to this trip across the pond, Milwaukee will serve as the visitors in this game, so we should still have our full supply of home games in 2019-20.
