Bucks general manager John Hammond announced the team’s roster for the 2016 Samsung NBA Summer League in Las Vegas on Tuesday. Milwaukee’s roster is highlighted by the Bucks’ two draft picks from the NBA Draft last month – Thon Maker, the 10th overall pick, and Malcolm Brogdon, the 36th overall pick – and current roster member Rashad Vaughn, who played in 70 games with the Bucks as a rookie last season.
Milwaukee is scheduled to open its Samsung NBA Summer League campaign on Friday, July 8, at 5 p.m. against the entry from the newly-crowned NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers. The Bucks will continue their opening round play with games against the NBA D-League Select Team (Sunday, July 10, at 3:30 p.m.) and Memphis Grizzlies (Monday, July 11, at 3 p.m.).
Following the opening three games, the participating teams will be seeded in a single-elimination tournament that will culminate with the crowning of the Samsung NBA Summer League Champion on Monday, July 18. A consolation round will be held for teams failing to advance, ensuring that each team at Samsung NBA Summer League is guaranteed to play no fewer than five games. In all, the 2016 Samsung NBA Summer League will feature 67 games scheduled over 11 days at the COX Pavilion and Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.
