Because of the length of the professional basketball and baseball seasons, the month of April has become known for overlapping schedules. To handle the conflicting Milwaukee Bucks and Milwaukee Brewers air times, Fox Sports Wisconsin has hit the "on" switch for its alternate channel.

For tonight, the Bucks take on the New York Knicks at 6 p.m. on the regular Fox Sports Wisconsin Channel. The Brewers game against the Pirates will air at 6:30 p.m. on the alternate channel.

The regular channel and the alternate one will find different homes based on the cable or other provider that is in the viewer’s home.

In the Milwaukee area, most of the viewers will be covered with one of these providers for the alternate channel:

  • Time Warner Cable: 1310 HD, 310 SD
  • Charter Communications: 682 HD, 323 SD
  • AT&T U-Verse: 745 SD, 1745 HD
  • Dish, DirecTV and others: Check for the most up-to-date listings

For the rest of Wisconsin, find the alternate channel location here.

Other scheduling conflicts will shake out like this:

Sunday: The Brewers will play the Pirates at 12:30 p.m. on Fox Sports Wisconsin. The Bucks will play the Brooklyn Nets at 1:30 p.m. on the alternate channel.

Wednesday: The Brewers face divisional rival St. Louis at 6:30 p.m. on Fox Sports Wisconsin. The Bucks face the Celtics at 6:30 p.m. on the alternate channel.

For the majority of households in the market, Time Warner and Charter Communications customers will need to have a digital receiver to get the alternate channel.

WILD WEST: Fox News is launching a new 10-week run of "Legends & Lies: The Real West," starting at 7 p.m. Sunday night.

The historical, episodic specials include a pair of original episodes that will air back-to-back with the show’s launch. The series will also have extra runs of the shows over the weekends as schedules permit, barring being pre-empted for breaking news situations.

Executive produced by Bill O’Reilly, the hour-long episodes will recount the tales of the characters of America’s pioneer days, including Jesse James, David Crockett, Doc Holliday and Kit Carson. The program will feature first-hand accounts from direct descendants and historians, along with the support of archival photographs and special effects, giving viewers the chance to see the forensic science behind the historical analysis.

Fox News has posted its promotion video for the new series here.

BINGE: If you haven’t checked out the entire new series of "Daredevil" on Netflix that came out early this morning, here’s something special to get you motivated. The producers made this extra feature and posted it online late Thursday.

Check out this special on Marvel character Matt Murdock.

Also, actress Rosario Dawson is scheduled to promote the show on "Ellen" on Thursday. "Ellen" airs at 4 p.m. on WISN-TV CH. 12.

STUFFED BEASTS: Fox Business Network has a pair of new episodes of "Strange Inheritance" on tap for 8 p.m. on Monday.

Host Jamie Colby takes the show to Vancouver to cover a taxidermy business left to two sons with hundreds of stuffed beasts, including a few famous Hollywood props. The second-half hour program is focused on a century-old family-owned amusement park.
