The Milwaukee Bucks and Milwaukee Tool announced Tuesday an innovative new partnership that brings together two historic Wisconsin brands to ensure that Milwaukee’s new arena is built using only the professional trades’ brand of choice.
The partnership also rebrands the arena job site as the "Milwaukee Tool Construction Site," giving the iconic Milwaukee brand a visible presence in the development throughout the construction process.
"We’re thrilled to welcome Milwaukee Tool to the Bucks family and look forward to working together to build a world-class arena that will be a lasting symbol for the region," Bucks President Peter Feigin said. "Milwaukee Tool embodies the spirit of innovation that we see as a hallmark for this new era of Bucks basketball.
"We can’t wait to welcome thousands of fans from across the state to the ‘Milwaukee Tool Construction Site’ on Saturday, June 18 to officially break ground on this historic project that will be built by local workers using locally-designed and engineered professional products."
As part of the new agreement with the Bucks, Milwaukee Tool will make its entire catalog of industry-leading power tools, hand tools and accessories available to the construction manager for the new arena, Mortenson Construction, and arena subcontractors to enhance productivity.
"With a shared passion for innovation and the city of Milwaukee, we are proud to partner with the Bucks on this project," said Milwaukee Tool Group President Steve Richman. "Together we will build an incredible sports complex, drive growth and create hundreds of new construction jobs in Wisconsin."
