The Milwaukee Bucks today announced that the team will return to Madison this fall for a week of training camp from Sept. 27 through Sept. 30, and to host a preseason game against the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday, Oct. 8.

"We are thrilled to return to Madison for a second consecutive year," Bucks General Manager John Hammond said. "The facilities at the University of Wisconsin-Madison are unrivaled and we thoroughly enjoyed our time in the state’s capital last preseason. The Bucks proudly represent the entire state of Wisconsin and we look forward to connecting with the amazing fans at the Kohl Center once again."

The Bucks will once again hold the team’s training camp at the Nicholas-Johnson Pavilion on the UW campus, with six practices scheduled from Tuesday, Sept. 27 through Friday, Sept. 30. A detailed practice schedule including media availability times will be available at a later date.

Bucks basketball in Madison was a regular occurrence in the early years of the franchise, as the team played 25 regular season games, seven playoff games and five preseason games in the city during the 1960s and 1970s. Milwaukee played another three exhibitions in Madison during the ’80s and two more in the ’90s, but did not return again until last season’s matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Oct. 20, 2015.

As the Bucks’ home preseason slate continues, the team faces off against the Chicago Bulls on Saturday, Oct. 15, in the 40th MACC Fund game. This annual event is the cornerstone of the Bucks’ 39-year founding commitment to Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer. Since the inaugural event in 1977, the annual MACC Fund Game has raised more than $1.2 million for children’s cancer research at the Midwest Children’s Cancer Center at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.

The Bucks will also host the Indiana Pacers at the BMO Harris Bradley Center on Wednesday, Oct. 19. Tickets for both BMO Harris Bradley Center games will also go on sale on Wednesday, Aug. 10, and can be purchased at www.bucks.com or by calling 1-877-4NBA-TIX. Groups looking to purchase tickets for all three home games should call (414) 227-0599 to speak with a Bucks representative.
