Well, that's what happens when you try to sneak in a workout before heading to work.

On my way to the Cousins Center in St. Francis, I heard the news that the Bucks will part ways with guards John Salmons and Corey Maggette and their No. 10 overall draft pick, part of a three-team deal that includes Sacramento and Charlotte.

In return, the Bucks will get point guard Beno Udrih from the Kings and point guard Shaun Livingston and shooting guard Stephen Jackson from the Bobcats, along with Charlotte's No. 19 overall pick.

Salmons, who signed a five-year deal with Milwaukee prior to last season, was shipped to Sacramento, where he played from 2006-08. Acquired by the Bucks at the deadline in 2010, Salmons averaged 19.9 points and helped lead the team into the playoffs for the first time in four seasons.

He wasn't able to replicate that success last season, averaging 14 points and 3.5 rebounds in 73 games.

General manager John Salmons sent Charlie Bell and Dan Gadzuric, along with a second round draft pick last year to get Maggette from Golden State. Maggette saw his minutes disappear over the course of the season and was unhappy with his role on the team.

We'll hear more on the deal throughout the night and when we do, I'll pass it along.
