Café Hollander will open its Brookfield location to the public on Tuesday, May 30 at The Corners of Brookfield. The new location is situated near the Bluemound Road entrance next to the future home of L.L. Bean.
It’s the fifth location for Hollander, which is owned by Milwaukee-based Lowlands Group, and it offers many of the features for which Lowlands’ cafes are known, including multi-level seating inside, a large rooftop deck and street-level patio. Like a few of its counterparts, the Brookfield location also has the capability of being transformed into an open-air cafe during clement weather.
Guest parking is available both at street level or in the underground structure, which provides access directly to the restaurant through an elevator or stairwell.
In addition to a full menu, Hollander Brookfield will offer 38 beers on draught, including one nitro line. Options will include beer brewed by the Lowlands Brewing Collaborative, a collection of exclusive beers brewed by some of the world’s best brewers.
"We’re thrilled with how the space turned out and we can’t wait to add to the energy at The Corners," noted Dan Herwig, director of brand and marketing at Lowlands Group in a release. "With every new location we open, we’re able to tell a bit more of a story with the design of our restaurants, including the use of reclaimed materials, old Belgian bier signs, photos from our trips to Europe and other elements. We hope to wow our guests when they walk through the door."

Diners who can’t wait until May 30 to see the new restaurant are welcome to attend a soft opening charity benefit scheduled for the weekend of May 19-21. Staff will be in training during the three-day event, during which 100 percent of the proceeds from food sales will be donated to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee, the Leukemia Lymphoma Society and the Food Pantry of Waukesha County. Beginning May 30, Café Hollander in Brookfield will open daily at 8 a.m. for breakfast, lunch and dinner service. Brunch will also be served on weekends.
