Brewers pitcher Chris Capuano leads the major leagues with 24 "quality starts" this season. (A quality start is six innings or more, three earned runs or fewer). But, the all-star left-hander has been victimized by a lack of run support lately and saw his record slip to 11-10 after a 2-1 loss to Los Angeles Wednesday night at Miller Park.

Since the all-star break, Capuano has lost six of seven decisions. In his last 10 starts, the Brewers have scored a total of 28 runs. Not surprisingly, Milwaukee has lost eight of those 10 games.

Capuano is third in the league in innings (198 1/3), third in walks and hits per inning (1.16) and eighth in earned run average 3.49.

His next start is slated for next week in Pittsburgh. In four outings against the Pirates this season, Capuano is 1-2 with a 5.87 ERA.
