Get your vuvuzelas ready.
One of the marquee matchups of the 2010 World Cup -- Argentina vs. Germany -- is coming up on Saturday morning and you can join OnMilwaukee.com to watch the action at Carelton Grange Pub, 3807 S. Packard Ave. in St. Francis.
Kickoff is at 9 a.m. and we'll be there. If you can't make it in person, you can join our live blog from the bar as we see which side slides through to the next round.
Both teams have been nearly flawless in the World Cup to date. The last time they met in the World Cup, back in 2006, Germany won a penalty shootout and there was practically a riot afterward.
German midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger said it will be important for his teammates to remain calm throughout the match against Argentina to avoid a repeat of the mayhem that took place after Die Mannschaft edged the Argentines in a penalty shootout in the quarterfinals of the 2006 World Cup.
"We have to remain calm and not get provoked and I hope the referee will be very alert," Schweinsteiger said this week.
Argentina beat Germany in a friendly back in March, but the South Americans have only one victory against their European rivals in five World Cup matches. That victory came during the 1986 final, when Argentina coach Diego Maradona was still a player.
Join us for the action at Carleton Grange. But, on second thought, leave the vuvuzela at home.
