"Cash Mob MKE" is a weekly event – dare we call it a movement – that encourages folks to order from the same place on the same day and/or evening. The goal is to provide the restaurant with a stellar, sellout night, and in return, we get a delicious meal made with local love.

The next Cash Mob MKE (#cashmobmke) will take place this Thursday, Feb. 11 at O'Lydia's Bar & Grill, 338 S. 1st St.

O'Lydia's is open for lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. O'Lydia's offers onsite pick-up or limited dine-in. Call (414) 271-7546 to place an order.

O'Lydia's menu features made-from-scratch Irish and American fare. Highlights include a variety of sandwiches (hi, delicious Irish dip!), salads, myriad mac-and-cheese dishes and other comfort foods like Shepherd's Pie and meatloaf.

O'Lydia's will also feature a burger special during the cash mob for $8.95, which includes one side. The burger is a 1/2-pound Angus beef burger with smoked gouda and grilled onions on a pretzel roll and topped with a house-made spicy Asian mayonnaise.

If you have not tried O'Lydia's Reuben rolls, you can't really call yourself a true Milwaukeean. With savory, slow-cooked corned beef and scratch-made wonton wraps, they're a rite of passage.

O'Lydia's is a woman-owned, family business. Linda Sackett was the manager of the iconic Brown Bottle Pub for more than a decade before she opened O'Lydia's in 2011. Sackett is a caring restaurant owner who is committed to the Walker's Point community and beyond. She is also the mother of two sons, one of whom, Rick Sackett, is the GM of the restaurant. (They have a pretty incredible family story here.)

Like many local restaurants, O'Lydia's has struggled during the pandemic, so ... Let's (cash) mob 'em, Milwaukee!
