Milwaukee's electro-pop megamen Codebreaker have a new record coming out soon. A taster of it arrived a couple weeks ago.

"The Space Chase," which the duo -- comprising Steven Hawley and Sage Schwarm -- describes as "an epic seven-song journey into the future," is released on Feb. 15.

"We've been off to far away places for the last two years to bring you this groundbreaking adventure," writes the band in its blog.

The track listing for the new record is: "Silver Lining," "Desire," "Follow Me," "First True Love Affair," "Free Your Mind," "Sous l'Choc" and "The Space Chase."

"Sous l'Choc" features an appearance by French chanteur Marc Gauvin.

The band will offer its Los Angeles fans a sneak preview of some of the record on Friday at at DJ set at The Avalon's "Control" party.

But many have already gotten a listen to one track, via the three-song "Silver Lining" EP that arrived on Jan. 8, pairing that song with two remixes -- one by The Outrunners and one by no less than Chicago house music pioneer Joe Smooth.
