The coronavirus pandemic has changed our everyday life, but it doesn't need to change who we are. So, in addition to our ongoing coverage of the coronavirus, OnMilwaukee will continue to report on cool, fun, inspiring and strange stories from our city and beyond. Stay safe, stay healthy, stay informed and stay joyful. We're all in this together. #InThisTogetherMKE

Dear friends,

We've been apart for so long now during this time of being safer at home that I've missed you. Sure, I might see some of you from a distance and give a longing wave as I run out for groceries, or from across the street while I'm out for my daily run and dog walk, or on an OnMilwaukee Facebook live, but it'll likely be a while before we can meet up somewhere for a beer together, in person, so I figured I'd let you know how I'm passing the time.

In addition to hours spent working and trying to keep the kids focused on schoolwork (ha ha ha), there's a lot of time in the day. This is some of what I've been seeing and doing during those hours. I hope you'll drop me a comment or two and let me know what you're doing, too.

We'll get through this, friends, and in the meantime, we're wholeheartedly #inthistogethermke.
