Cream Skills Inc. and its youth basketball league, the Cream Skills Basketball Association (CSBA), will be tipping off its first season this summer.

The CSBA’s opening season will start on Monday June 20 at 5 p.m. on the indoor basketball court of COA Youth & Family Centers’ Goldin Center located at 2320 W. Burleigh St.

The CSBA is the first summer program of its kind, centering athletics around a "Training  Camp" of entrepreneurship mentoring, financial literacy and the 101 of life skills.

Designed to increase youth entrepreneurship and decrease the crime rates in our urban communities, Cream Skills Inc. has collaborated with 10 local businesses, including Gee’s Clippers, the downtown campus of Milwaukee Area Technical College and community leaders such as 7th District Alderman Khalif Rainey, who will keynote at the opening day ceremony, and State Representative David Bowen.

The 10 local businesses serve as team franchise owners, each with a coach and team roster of four to six players ages 14-17 years old.

To gain access to the opening day event and/or for more information contact Cream Skills Executive Director Nigel Harvey at (414) 391-0969.

The CSBA is more than just basketball, it’s an investment in our youth, our communities and our future.
