Dälek, delivering unconventional music and a reinvention of the hip-hop genre, will be at the Cactus Club on Sat., Sept. 28. Pushing boundaries by layering style, banging out powerful beats and adding intelligent lyrics, the band offers a sound all their own.

Dälek has been critically acclaimed for its reinvention of hip hop sound in their first album, "Negro, Necro, Nekros." Four years later, the group is touring for their second album, "From Filthy Tongue of Gods and Griots," and continuing to entertain and redefine.

Dälek's live show is notorious for being loud and intense, often ending with a thrown monitor or mic stand amiss. Hailed by some as leading the direction of future hip-hop music, Dälek tries to reinvent the old and create the new, giving conventional hip-hop music a run for its money.
