Danny Gokey didn’t nab the top spot on "American Idol," but he made a lasting impression on a lot of people, including the folks at Discovery World.

In Gokey’s honor, this Saturday, May 16, and Sunday, May 17, Discovery World will donate $1 for every general admission ticket sold to Sophia’s Heart Foundation. Gokey set up the foundation for his late wife, Sophia, who passed away during routine heart surgery just weeks before he auditioned for "American Idol."

In addition, Discovery World will have a giant thank-you card for guests to sign.  The card and the contribution will be dropped off with representatives of Danny's family before the end of the month.
