The Packers' hopes of running back the core from the past several years have taken a drastic hit as, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Green Bay is trading star wide receiver Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders.

According to the NFL insiders, Green Bay will receive a first and second round pick in the upcoming draft in exchange for Adams – who the Raiders will give a five-year worth $141.25 million, reuniting the receiver with his college quarterback Derek Carr and making him the highest-paid receiver in the league.

Most recently, Adams hauled in 123 catches (second-most in the entire NFL) for 1,553 yards (good for third in the entire NFL) and 11 touchdowns (fifth in the entire NFL). He was undoubtedly Aaron Rodgers' favorite target – practically to a fault in the playoffs against the 49ers – and part of one of the most effective offensive tandems in the league. For comparison's sake, the receiver with the second-most yards on the Packers last season was Allen Lazard with 513 – more than 1,000 less than Adams. The second most targets on the team went to running back Aaron Jones with 65 – more than 100 less than Adams.

So ... who is the four-time Most Valuable Player going to throw the football to next season? I guess we'll find out at the upcoming draft – unless there's another move to come for Green Bay. But considering this team's recent history of choosing to draft or make moves for pass catchers, there are ... concerns.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
