Updating Molly Snyder Edler’s scoop from July 27 (onmilwaukee.com/scoops/articles/nochins), OMC has learned that DigiCopy will open its first Milwaukee location on the south end of the former Giovanni's restaurant space, 683 N. Van Buren St.

DigiCOPY, a fast growing chain of high tech digital copy centers based in Eau Claire (with locations in Stevens Point and Wausau), will compete for FedEx Kinko's type business and provide a growing need for the residents and businesses in the nearby Brady Street and Downtown neighborhoods. Eppstein Uhen Architects is designing the space.

As for the north end of the vacant land, real estate sources say to expect a "fast casual concept restaurant." Several local and national owners are vying for the coveted corner space. Stay tuned to OnMilwaukee.com for more details.
