Dinesen's Leather Only will move from 798 N. Jefferson St. to 231 E. Buffalo St. some time between the end of September and the end of October.

Manager Steve Galstad is excited about the move and believes it is the best thing for the 41-year-old local business.

"We are thrilled to join the retailers in the Third Ward," he says. "Retail helps out retail."

Galstad says the current location on Jefferson has become an area of mostly bars and restaurants, so the move will allow them to connect with other furniture outlets in the neighborhood.

Owner Fritz Dinesen passed away in September 2003, but the business is owned by his wife, Lynn Dinesen, aka "Mrs. D." Galstad has managed the business for 15 years.

Dinesen's Leather Only offers a vast selection of leather furniture including sofas, sleeper sofas, chairs, sectionals and recliners from some of the best leather makers in the world.
