While we’ve got plenty of concerts in summer to look forward to, another Rock and Roll Hall of Fame act will make their way to Milwaukee, with their eyes set on an American Family Insurance Amphitheater just before fall sets in.

The Doobie Brothers announced Monday they will bring their “Walk This Road Tour” to the American Family Insurance Amphitheater on September 9th, with Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band as a special guest.

The tour supports The Doobie Brothers’ upcoming album, “Walk This Road,” scheduled for release in June. The band announced dates for this upcoming August and September, with Milwaukee in the middle of the 19-city tour.

The show will be the 34th time that The Doobie Brothers have played the Milwaukee area, with appearances dating back to 1971. Their last appearance, though, was in 2021 at the BMO Pavilion for their 50th anniversary tour.

The Coral Reefer Band, known for performing Jimmy Buffett’s music, will join as an opening act. The band has continued live performances at Buffett and his family’s request, following his passing in 2023.

In addition to the tour and album release, The Doobie Brothers will be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame during a ceremony on June 12th. They became members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2020.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, February 14th, at 10 a.m. through the American Family Insurance Amphitheater website and Ticketmaster, with a presale for Citi card members and Ticketmaster VIPs on Tuesday.
