I want to clear up something I wrote in a recent blog. I asked to take it down, but they told me that we don't rewrite history, that once it's out there, it's out there. So, instead, I offer this.

Recently, I wrote that at a dinner at Eddie Martini's, I thought the two steaks we ordered were not up to the standards set by this wonderful restaurant. I didn't mention the rest of my dinner, which was, as usual, excellent.

I should have mentioned it to our server or management and given them a chance to rectify the situation, which I'm certain they would have done. I regret not doing so.

I don't think it's particularly fair of me to have written a blog calling out a restaurant I love and which has a deserved great reputation without hearing their side of the story. It seems a little like bullying to me – and I don't like bullies.

I apologize to Eddie Martini's and to anyone who took offense at the blog.
