The Enderis Park Neighborhood Association has received a $25,000 grant from the Greater Milwaukee Foundation's Mary L. Nohl Fund to be used toward funding a sculpture for the Enderis Playfield, at 72nd and Locust Streets.

The playfield is currently undergoing restoration.

"This takes us toward our overall goal," wrote Bruce Cameron in an e-mail announcement of the grant on Friday, "but does not put us in position to proceed with a fully-funded piece."

Neighborhood residents have used a number of events – including tomorrow's dog fair – to raise money themselves for the park's facelift.
