I've been to the aviary at the zoo many times, but I've never been to an "official" tweet-up before. That may be about to change.

Tomorrow evening – that's Wednesday, May 18– Leff's Lucky Town, 7208 W. State St., is hosting the Wauwatosa Chamber of Commerce's Explore Tosa tweet-up from 5 until 8 p.m.

While the event is ostensibly to introduce folks to all of the retail and dining goodness that Tosa has to offer these days, you know a lot of folks are coming out just to see who is hiding behind that vague Twitter handle and the blurry avatar photo.

The fact that the event is at Leff's is just another bonus. Also in the "plus" column are raffle prizes donated by MagPie, Leff's, Colonel Harts, Authentic Journey, Tosa Yoga and other businesses.

There will be free food, drinks specials, Tosa coupons and the raffles and drink purchases benefit the Wisconsin Humane Society.

Whenever discussing the tweet-up – and while tweeting from it – remember to use the hashtag #ExploreTosa because that's how it's done.
