Today Festa Italiana announced Italian American crooner and "America's Got Talent" finalist Sal Valentinetti as its second headlining act for this year's festival, hitting the stage Saturday, June 22 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, June 23 at 8:30 p.m.
The 21-year-old jazz singer competed on season 11 of the popular NBC talent show, winning over the audience and judge Heidi Klum with his rendition of the Frank Sinatra classic "My Way" and eventually finishing in an impressive fifth place. Since then, Valentinetti has performed across the United States, selling out three Christmas concerts at the Paramount Theatre in Huntington, New York and hitting The Theatre at Westbury, notably one of Sinatra's favorite venues.
Valentinetti joins the Gin Blossoms as headliners for this year's Festa Italiana, the festival's 40th anniversary.
Joining the two headliners will be a lineup of Italian entertainment, including musical tribute act Ray Massa's EuroRhythms; The Sicilian Tenors featuring Aaron Caruso, Elio Scaccio and Sam Vitale; the singing trio Tre Principesse; Neapolitan singer Anna Calemme; and The Florentine Opera.
Festa will take place Friday, June 21 through Sunday, June 23, at Henry Maier Festival Park. Advance tickets are currently $10 through July 20, after which tickets will cost $13. For more information, visit Festa Italiana's website.
