Another Fiesta Garibaldi eatery will open in "two or three weeks," according to an onsite worker renovating the building. The Mexican restaurant will take over the former Scoopz ice cream space, 3621 W. North Ave., which was only open for a year and closed in late 2008.

The bi-level bar and eatery is large and open, with colorful airbrushed murals adorning the walls.

There are five other Fiesta Garibaldi locations in southeastern Wisconsin. The menu includes dishes originating from Veracruz, Toluca, Mexico City and Guerrero State. The bar features domestic and imported beers along with 150 different tequilas.
