The West Vliet Street Business Association has announced their first ever business district event with a focus on food.

Eat on Vliet will take place Saturday, June 10, and its purpose will be to highlight the variety of dining establishments within the corridor of 43rd to 60th Streets. During the event, local restaurants will have special offers and events throughout the day and into the evening.

"We’re thrilled to launch this exciting new event to showcase all the great dining establishments on West Vliet Street," noted Lynita Wolf, events coordinator for the West Vliet Street Business Association. "Come out for dining specials, music, shopping and more."

Here are some of the specials being featured.

Caradaro Club
5010 W Vliet St.
Hours: 4 to 10 p.m.
Music by South Rampart Street Paraders (tentative) will start at 4 p.m. A short narrated session on the full history of pizza will start at 6 p.m. From 4 p.m. to close, customers who mention "Eat on Vliet" will get a free 10" pizza.

Eat Cake / Studio Barcelona
5706 W. Vliet St.
Hours: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Eat Cake will be busy delivering wedding treats during Eat on Vliet, but will offer cake samples at Studio Barcelona.

Fred’s Drive-In
4726 W Vliet St.
Hours: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Mention "Eat on Vliet" and get a 25 percent discount on your order.

Kettle Range Meat Co./Swoon
5422 W. Vliet St.
Hours: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Kettle Range will set up next to Swoon and grill delicious grass-fed burgers and gourmet brats.

Maison
5921 W Vliet St.
Hours: 4 to 9 p.m.
Maison will offer 15 percent off all bottles of rose wine. Stop by and enjoy it with appetizers or dinner on the beautiful patio.

O’Brien's Irish Pub
4928 W Vliet St.
Hours: 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Stop in and mention "Eat on Vliet" and receive $2 off a wrap with your choice of sides.

Valentine Coffee
5918 W Vliet St.
Hours: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Head to Valentine for "a beer & a shot" special: Buy a bottle or can of any of the coffee/beer collaborations and get a shot of espresso on the house. Prefer affogato? Bring in a scoop of gelato from Cold Spoons Gelato (next door) and Valentine will take $1 off a shot of espresso to pour over it.

Wy'east Pizza
5601 W Vliet St.
Hours: 4 to 9 p.m.
Stop by for the pizza. But, stay for the movie. Wy’east will screen "Planting Seeds." a film about Groundwork’s Young Farmer program. Showings will take place at 6 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. There will also be a raffle for Groundwork and Wy’East merch. Groundwork Milwaukee will receive 10 percent of proceeds.

Additional locations will be added up to the start of the event.
