Five O'Clock Steakhouse is renowned for its delicious steaks, but next weekend, it's focus will be less on cooking tasty meats and more on burning rubber.

On Sunday, June 3, the popular steak restaurant will host its fifth annual vintage car show in its parking lot located at the intersection of 24th and State Streets. The event will run from noon until 4 p.m., rain or shine, featuring raffles, live music, prizes for various car categories and, because apparently there won't be enough automobiles around, a food truck.

All these cars are gathering for a good cause (beyond just admiring and oogling some awesome rides) as well, as the event will serves as a fundraiser for the Milwaukee Homeless Veterans Initiative and Dryhootch Milwaukee, a Veteran-created non-profit started in order to help fellow Veterans in their return to family and community life back home.

"It’s our privilege to host this fundraiser for Dryhootch and the Milwaukee Homeless Veterans Initiative," noted Stelio Kalkounos, managing partner of Five O’Clock Steakhouse, in a press release. "Their mission to help veterans and their families deserves the entire community’s support."

Admission for vintage car show is free, Five O'Clock Steakhouse does suggest a $20 donation – and if just a suggestion isn't convincing enough, the restaurant will give visitors a $20 gift card to the steakhouse in exchange for the donation in a  program called "Give 20, Get 20." Even if you can't attend the car show but want to donate, you are also eligible for the $20 gift card, as well.

As for registering your ride, email Five O'Clock Steakhouse at dine@fiveoclocksteakhouse.com.

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
