Five Guys Burgers and Fries will "open soon" at the former Blockbuster space, 544 E. Ogden Ave., inside the East Pointe Marketplace.

Blockbuster closed the location on April 10.

East Point also houses an Einstein Bros. Bagels, Starbucks and several retailers including Pick N' Save as its anchor.

Five Guys opened its first Milwaukee location in 2009 at 2907 N. Oakland Avenue.

Five Guys will have seven area locations once East Pointe opens. These include the first Milwaukee area store at Bayshore Town Center, Mayfair Mall and Brookfield Square.

The franchise has more than 750 locations nationwide.
