Due to wet and rainy conditions that have plagued the city all week, River Flicks has been canceled today.

Event Coordinators made the decision early this afternoon after studying forecasts for this evening and inspecting Pere Marquette Park, the home of River Flicks, on Old World Third Street.

"The Muppets Take Manhattan," the featured movie for tonight, will not be rescheduled. However, the Westown Association plans to hold "Flicks" next week on Friday, Aug. 31, with "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" (PG-13) beginning at dusk. The showing of "Pirates" will be the last movie of the 2007 season.

For more information, contact the Westown Association at (414)-276-6696 or at the link below.
