Season's eatings! The weather may be getting colder, but Dining Month on OnMilwaukee is just cooking up, dishing out your winning picks in this year's Best of Dining poll. Dining Month is brought to you by Fein Brothers, your premier food service equipment and supply dealer in Wisconsin since 1929. Congratulations to all of the winners, and happy eating for all those who voted!

The high-fat, low-carb keto diet has helped many people who struggled with their weight for years to finally shed pounds, increase energy and – arguably most importantly – make them feel sated rather than starving.

The keto diet might also improve blood sugar control for those with type 2 diabetes, at least in the short term, and lower cholesterol levels.

But there is certainly a lot of criticism against this diet – mostly because we do not know much about its long-term effects. Also, research from other diets that lead to rapid weight loss are associated with increased mortality.

So what do you think about the keto diet? Here's your chance to, ahem, weigh in.
