Join us on Saturday, July 22 for some lakeside munchies at the second annual OnMilwaukee Food Truck Fest. Choose from a menu of 20 trucks and enjoy the live music, games and entertainment. It's the biggest gathering of the best food on four wheels.

It's a sad news day. Fool's Errand, the comfort food oasis at 316 N. Milwaukee St. in the Historic Third Ward has decided to call it a day.

But if you'd still like to settle in for a memorable meal at the restaurant, which was operated for just over a year by Chefs Dan Jacobs and Dan Van Rite and their talented crew of hospitality-driven employees, there's an opportunity for that.  Fool's Errand will remain open through July 31.

What ostensibly began as a fool's errand – opening in the midst of the long, challenging pandemic – ultimately established itself as a great spot for brunch and well appointed dinners chock-full of Midwestern staples and comfort food classics.

Jacobs says that the decision to close the eatery wasn't an easy one. However, he and Van Rite hope to retain as many employees as possible, moving as many folks as they can to new positions at DanDan.

And, while the Fool's Errand concept is likely gone for good, he says there's always room for something new and exciting on the horizon.
