Fans of the kid-friendly duo Fox and Branch have gone without live musical performances from the popular folkies for a couple of months while band member David Fox underwent shoulder surgery. According to an e-mail sent by Will Branch, Fox is still recovering but the two plan to gig again this spring.

In the mean time, Branch performs a solo show at Anodyne Café, 2920 S. Kinnickinnic Ave., on March 30 at 11 a.m.

Plus, Fox and Branch have a new Web site that will soon allow visitors to download songs, and they released a new CD, “Hot Time.”

“The music is more ‘grown up’ than our last CD, but we hope everyone enjoys it,” says Branch.
