The Milwaukee County Parks Department hosts "Appreciation Day for Park Patrons," Wednesday, Feb. 12, offering free skate rentals and soft drinks at A Slice of Ice in Red Arrow Park, 920 N. Water St., Downtown.

The free skate rentals and soft drinks are on tap from 2 until 8 p.m.

With temperatures finally notching up into the low 20s today, it might be a good time to lace up the skates and take a spin.
