Fresche Pizzeria & Pub,770 N. Jefferson St., will undergo some major changes next week, beginning with its name.

Owner Jay Mulloy, who operates one of his three Soup Ladle locations in the building, plans to unveil The Milwaukee Wine Cellar -- a fitting name for the basement space formerly occupied by D&J's, Senor Frogs, The Rox, Mason St. Crab Shack and other establishments.

Although the popular hand-tossed gourmet pizzas and salads will remain, the menu will expand to include pasta dishes, sandwiches and, of course, a large wine list. Mulloy plans to feature Wisconsin and regional wineries and will host wine tastings with artisan cheese samplers.
