’Tis Dining Month, the tastiest time of year! This means we’re dishing up fun and fascinating food content throughout October. Dig in, Milwaukee!
After a brief soft opening to acclimate staff, Freshfin Poke has opened its newest location at 5800 N. Bayshore Dr. in Glendale.
The locally owned fast-casual restaurant specializing in fresh, healthy, Hawaiian-style rice bowls, occupies an 1800+ square foot space not far from the brand new Target store (which opens Oct. 24).
"The North Shore community has been a huge supporter of FreshFin since the beginning and we’re thrilled to finally be in their backyard," notes co-owner Nate Arkush. "There are so many great things happening at Bayshore and we’re very excited to be a part of it and bring our healthy, fresh bowls to the center."
New menu items
On the menu, guests will find signature bowls including spicy tuna, mango-salmon and curry coconut shrimp, along with a variety of options from chicken and pork to plant-based and gluten-friendly options.
That includes three new house-crafted bowls including: The Classic (Ahi tuna, red onion, classic sauce and seaweed salad); Sweet Avo (marinated tofu, avocado, sweet potato, edamame, carrot, kale, cilantro, red onion, crispy onion, sesame ginger sauce and Sriracha aioli); and the Rainbow Bowl (Ahi tuna, salmon, avocado, cucumber, carrot, pineapple, cilantro, red onion, classic sauce, Thai chili ginger sauce, sriracha aioli, crispy garlic, seaweed salad and tobiko).
BOGO bowls
Guests can also stop in for the poke shop's BOGO Grand Opening, which will take place on Friday, Nov. 5 from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 6 from noon to 4 p.m. During the celebration, guests can indulge in buy-one-get-one house-crafted bowls (including both new offerings and the Bowl of the Month).
Glendale marks the sixth Wisconsin location for the Milwaukee-based poke concept which opened its first shop on the East Side in 2017. Additional locations include Wauwatosa, Brookfield, Madison and the Historic Third Ward.
