As things continue to come together at The Corners of Brookfield, the nearly 1-year-old shopping destination has announced another Wisconsin first.

The popular Chicago eatery Goddess and the Baker will open its first Wisconsin location just south of Café Hollander at The Corners of Brookfield.

The restaurant, which specializes in fast fresh fare for breakfast, lunch and dinner, along with desserts served all day, is slated to open sometime this summer.

"We are ecstatic to welcome Goddess and the Baker to The Corners," said Robert Gould, CEO of Brookfield Corners, LLC. in a release. "Our patrons have been patiently awaiting a coffee shop, and we are thrilled to deliver something they can’t find anywhere else in Wisconsin. Not only will Goddess and the Baker offer incredible coffee and beverages, but also fresh, seasonal food and delicious baked goods."

The seasonal menu at Goddess and the Baker features a wide selection of vibrant salads, soups and made-to-order sandwiches, as well as sweets and pastries. Among favorite items is the their Instagram-famous rainbow cake.

One-of-a-kind beverages include a rotating selection of coffee from favorite national and international third-wave roasters, nitro cold brew, tea and espresso drinks. The restaurant also offers a juice bar and serves tap beer, wine and specialty cocktails.

Decor at The Corners location will showcase the brand’s signature mid-century décor and style, including geometric materials, modern details and pops of vibrant color. Both indoor and outdoor seating will be available, as well as takeout and delivery options.

"It is very exciting to be opening our first restaurant in Wisconsin, and I can’t think of a better location than The Corners of Brookfield," noted Tamar Mizrahi, Goddess and the Baker partner. "There were a number of factors that drew us to this location, and we feel that the existing tenant mix and customer base is the perfect fit for our brand. We can’t wait to join the Town of Brookfield and Greater Milwaukee community."

Goddess Group owner Debbie Sharpe got her start in concert catering, traveling the globe and cooking for influential musicians, including greats like Paul McCartney. In 2004, she settled in Chicago, where she established her part-grocery store, part-restaurant The Goddess and Grocer, a concept which quickly spun off into Goddess and the Baker. Today, the Goddess empire includes seven locations as well as a catering division.

Goddess and the Baker joins numerous other restaurants at The Corners of Brookfield, including BelAir Cantina, Café Hollander, FreshFin Poké, Grimaldi’s Pizzeria and Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt.
