We have no idea who will be in the draft two years from now or where the Pack will be picking – but we already know it'll be the most exciting one in recent memory for the Packers and Wisconsin overall as the league announced today that Green Bay will host the 2025 NFL Draft.

Even though there's not a single punt, pass or kick, the NFL Draft has evolved into a major sporting spectacle whether watching in person or on TV. The draft was typically hosted at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, but ever since 2015, the event's becoming a traveling showcase for the NFL and host cities across the nation – including Chicago, Philadelphia, Las Vegas, Arlington, Nashville, Cleveland, Kansas City and now Green Bay.

"The draft has become a prominent offseason event hosted in different cities with spectacular locations across the country, and we are excited to work with the Packers and Discover Green Bay to bring the 2025 NFL Draft to Green Bay and iconic Lambeau Field," said NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, in a release. "With the help of numerous local partners on the ground, our prospects and fans will be treated to an incredible week-long experience that shows off the city of Green Bay and the state of Wisconsin."

"This is an incredible day for the Packers, Greater Green Bay and the entire state of Wisconsin as we are excited and honored to be selected to host the 2025 NFL Draft," said Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy, in the team announcement. "The Packers have a rich and proud history that goes back to the early days of the NFL and are the only community owned team. That connection to our league's heritage combined with the great passion Packers fans will bring will make the draft a memorable event for those in attendance and NFL fans watching around the world."

Plans for the 2025 NFL Draft are still in the works – an exact hasn't even been determined yet, though expect it the last week of April – but the early announcement reports that the three-day event will be hosted inside and around Lambeau Field and the Titletown District area. In addition to the on-stage announcing of draft picks, the football-focused festivities will also include the NFL Draft Experience festival, featuring interactive skills games, exhibits about football history, autograph areas and more.

And as for their most recent draft picks and the rest of the team, the Packers began organized team activity practices today and will kick off the 2023-24 regular season on September 10 against the Chicago Bears in the Windy City – so only four months or so away! Plenty of time to overthink and overanalyze this highly anticipated start of the season of Love!

As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
